Sunscreen is strongly recommended, but I would not recommend tanning oil because is can be messy and it has only around 3 to 9 spf. I strongly recommend Sunscreen around up to 70 spf. Water bottles I don't think should be clear, but I strongly suggest they be plastic or metal not glass or anything else that can easily shatter.
