Beautiful park, quiet in the fall, saw many animals including buffalo, prairie dogs, deer, and elk. Enjoyed some short hikes. Worth the stop. Plan at least 3 hours or more. Full review by homestead235

I don really know. When we were there two blizzards had gone through about two weeks prior and there was still lots of wildlife. We saw snow in spots. We were there early May and we didn’t see a lot of people there at all. We wore winter jackets because it can be quite windy. We truly enjoyed the beauty of this park and it’s inhabitants.
