Another great beach to visit. Not crowded and good for swimming. The waves here are not as large and violent. There are a lot of fish and turtles at the lagoon of this beach for those who enjoy t… Full review by umestagramm2

The Kapalua Bay Beach is one of the best snorkeling spots with easy access. Fish as long as my arm, colorful, big sea turtles, nice corals . Shallow water for kids, deeper water for adults, the whole… Full review by HelenDLR9

Gorgeous beach in every direction, but a bit tricky to find and parking is even trickier. Get there early to park and find your way. I think there are a couple different entrances. Full review by Hotelsnobb
This beach looks lovely but we are planning a vow renewal (13 people total) for March 2022. I keep reading that it is busy. Anyone know what it's usually like around 4pm? Wondering if we will be able to carve out space for our family with a pretty view for photos. Thanks!

I should have been more clear, there is a paved trail in the area as well as the beach. There are places on the water close to the beach. But….your challenge could be “the Maui effect” ……parking. Did not visit the beach parking in late afternoon, that would be worth checking out in advance, if parking is needed.

Aloha Carolina! How lucky are you? Maui is like none other. May I make a suggestion? Based upon our experiences, I would contact CB Taxi and have them pick you up, ferry you around, and return you on time to your cruise. Remove the anxiety. Now, as for where to go. Why Kapalua? It is nice but it is waaay up the proverbial road by a long shot. Why not hang out at Black Rock on Kaanapali Beach? You will see oodles of fish and be so enthralled by the beauty of the area. I wouldn't be surprised if you return home, put the family place up for sale and move here! And I don't live here. Oh, and rent your snorkle stuff here too! One-stop shopping right at your cruise-limited finger tips. Time-wise, travel to Kaanapali is about 45 minutes. Kaanapali has Whalers Village right there, too. Check that out. And then there is Lahaina. If I were going to Maui, I'd go there without hesitation. Not so much snorkeling going on there but it is the heart and pulse of old time Maui. We've just finished a cruise to NZ and Australia and I totally understand the time limitations of when the ship sales and all that tension. CB Taxi is an awesome service we used on our last (December 2018) trip to Maui. Ontime, dependable, and so easy to do business with. Check them out online (and no, we are not related). I do not believe you need to go that far to snorkle. Going to Kapalua is another 1/2 hour further up the road. Consider how much time you will be in dock.
