Musk’s AI chatbot was updated over the weekend to ‘not shy away from making claims which are politically incorrect’

Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence start-up xAI has apologized after its AI Chatbot Grok published a series of antisemitic messages on X.

Grok 4 has a favorite source on some hot-topic issues, citing Elon Musk's opinions without being instructed to do so.

Elon Musk ’s Grok artificial intelligence chatbot will be installed in Teslas in a manner of days, the X billionaire announced on Thursday, just a day after the AI bot made numerous antisemitic claims and praised Hitler across scores of X posts.

The European Union on Monday called in representatives from Elon Musk 's xAI after the company's social network X, and chatbot Grok, generated and spread anti-semitic hate speech, including praise for Adolf Hitler, last week. A spokesperson for the European Commission told CNBC via e-mail that a technical meeting will take place on Tuesday.

“Since 2016, data suggests right-wing political violence has been more frequent and deadly, with incidents like the January 6 Capitol riot and mass shootings (e.g., El Paso 2019) causing significant fatalities,” Grok wrote.

The Department of Defense will start using Elon Musk’s Grok AI chatbot to “develop agentic AI workflows.” Trump’s DoD awarded Musk’s xAI a $200 million federal contract to install “Grok for Government” into the national defense apparatus.
