Nintendo Switch 2 buyers have started experiencing Joy-Con drift with the new controllers, and the fix is identical.

A Nintendo Switch 2 owner has discovered Nintendo failed to fix one of the biggest problems with the original Switch, the dreaded stick drift.

Simply put, if you want to hook up the Nintendo Switch 2 to screens away from home, you'll need to bring the official docking station with you. So far, I've tested the gaming handheld with every third-party dock I own, a bunch of USB-C adapters, and a few portable monitors with DisplayPort Alt support, and the console refuses to output anything.

Within the Switch 2’s settings, players can remap all inputs on connected controllers, and do so for each Joy-Con independently. You can also toggle the ability to access this menu at any time from the Switch 2’s quick menu, accessed by holding Home.

According to data shared by Nintendo, almost 100% of Switch games work on Switch 2. However, while Nintendo says they are continually working on backwards compatibility in order to make every Switch game accessible across console generations, some Switch games aren’t working at all or don’t play as expected on Switch 2.
