The Cincinnati Reds hosted Pete Rose Night on Wednesday night at Great American Ball Park. Rose finished his career with 4,256 hits, three World Series Championships, 17 All-Star appearances and one MVP. He was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame in 2016. There's a statue of Rose outside of Great American Ballpark.

Major League Baseball reinstated Pete Rose, making him eligible for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Rose had a lifetime ban, but MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred stated that permanent ineligibility ends after an individual’s death.

The city, in collaboration with the Cincinnati Reds, will dedicate a baseball field in Rose's honor at Boldface Park in Sedamsville.
