Former British Open champion Cameron Smith birdied three of his first four holes for a 6-under 65 and was tied for the second-round lead at the rain-shortened Australian PGA championship at Royal Queensland.

Cameron Smith and Elvis Smylie are co-leaders heading into the final round of the Australian PGA Championship. The tournament was reduced to three rounds, 54 holes, after rain washed out play at Royal Queensland on Friday. The third and final round of the Australian PGA Championship will be held at Royal Queensland on Sunday.

Cameron Smith joined early leader Elvis Smylie at the top of the rain-affected Australian PGA Championship leaderboard in Brisbane ahead of the final round, having hit a six-under par 65 at Royal Queensland Golf Club on Saturday.
