Police in Lee’s Summit are investigating a deadly crash involving a 14-year-old bicyclist Wednesday morning, June 11.

A bicyclist died after colliding with an SUV in McKeesport, with the woman reportedly riding erratically before the accident, remaining under investigation.

SEDGWICK COUNTY—A man charged in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a bicyclist was back in court Wednesday for an arraignment hearing. Christopher Johnson, 23, plead not guilty to a charge of felony hit-and-run before Judge Eric Williams, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office. He will face a jury trial in October.

As the cyclist attempted to avoid one car’s open door, a second Waymo car reportedly crossed into the bike lane.

Authorities have identified the bicyclist who died in a crash earlier this week in Bellingham. Robert Gauthier, 60, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, died as a result of injuries suffered when he was struck by a car while riding bicycle on Monday, June 9, near 120 South Main St. (Route 126).
