During an interview with BBC, The Edge talked about his ongoing work with U2's lead singer Bono. They are working on “some crazy kind of sci-fi Irish folk music,” which may or may not be on the band's next album. He added that they are working with Eno on the project, who has previously worked with the band on several occasions.

U2 hasn’t released any new songs since 2017′s “Songs of Experience,” though they did record new versions of classic hits for 2023′s “Songs of Surrender.” An expanded “Re-Assemble Edition” of 2004′s “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” (featuring the hit single “Vertigo”) was released last week with previously unreleased work from that time period.
