The authorities are focusing their efforts on bringing key figures from PTI to justice amid the continuing standoff.

Imran Khan agreed to relocate a protest from D-chowk to Islamabad's outskirts, but his wife Bushra Bibi rejected the plan, resulting in violent clashes and deaths. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif accused PTI leaders of fleeing the scene and criticized conflicting reports on casualties.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif in a conversation with the media in Sialkot said the government offered PTI several alternative protest locations and while Khan, 72, agreed to the proposal, Bibi insisted on going to D-Chowk, leading to the chaotic situation.
