The NASCAR Xfinity Series was at Mexico City's Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Saturday for the running of The Chilango 150, which saw Mexico's own Daniel Suarez win in a backup car.

Connor Zilisch, driver of the No. 88 WeatherTech Chevrolet for JR Motorsports, continues to make a splash in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, beating NASCAR Cup Series drivers Ty Gibbs and Christopher Bell to win the pole for Saturday's The Chilango 150.

Suarez’s victory at the 15-turn, 2.42-mile Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez road course Saturday afternoon made him the first competitor in NASCAR history to go from last to first on a road course. After taking the lead with 19 laps remaining, when the race slowed for two caution periods in the final 12 laps, Suarez could hear the fans cheering him.
