Police are on the hunt for a Utah Fan who left a BYU Cougars coach unconscious after throwing a bottle onto the field after Saturday’s loss.  The Cougars came behind for a last-gasp victory on the day,

BYU’s cheerleading coach said she lost consciousness when she was struck in the head with a water bottle thrown from the stands at the end of the Cougars’ controversial 22-21 win over Utah on Saturday night.

As BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff lay on his back on the wrong goal line, a record crowd at Rice-Eccles Stadium erupted, sure that the Utes had applied the final hit in an upset rivalry victory. Or so they thought.

The Big 12 conference fined Utah athletic director Mark Harlan $40,000 and issued a public reprimand for his actions after the team’s 22-21 loss to Brigham Young University on Saturday.
