Cadillac F1 will be able to race from 2026, despite previous snub
The United States will have a second team competing in Formula 1 from 2026, when Cadillac Formula 1 will join the sport as its 11th team. The result is a complete 180 for the sport's owner, which was highly resistant to the initial bid, first announced at the beginning of 2023.
The new GM-Cadillac F1 team, explained
One team, to be exact. F1 announced on Monday that an agreement in principle has been reached and that a General Motors-Cadillac team will be joining the grid for the 2026 season. The announcement brings to a close months of debate and discussion over a potential 11th team on the grid.
