First Alert Weather: Cold and windy in Rochester, Erie snowband bringing flakes to the hills
ROCHESTER. N.Y. A strong lake effect snowband off of Lake Erie continues to drop considerable amounts of snow over portions of Erie and Chautauqua Counties, with snowfall totals already reaching over a foot and a half in some areas.

FIRST ALERT: Chilly weekend with even colder temperatures on the way
Temperatures will slowly warm up back to normal on Thursday with highs in the low 60s but it is going to be short-lived. Another dry cold front will move in Friday which will drop our high back into the 50s through next weekend. Besides the cooler weather, we will have a rain-free forecast for the next seven days!
