Mega-producer Sandler has a Netflix deal which has been extended twice. Sandler has produced films like “Leo,” “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah,” “Hustle,” and two “Murder Mystery” movies for the streamer. “Happy Gilmore 2” will start streaming on Netflix on Friday, July 25.

The “Modern Family” star played Virginia Venit in the first film, the PR director for the golf tour Happy Gilmore joins, who helps him shape up his image. The two eventually fall for each other and in the sequel have a family, though Bowen noted that her appearance in the new one is brief.

While Julie Bowen joins Adam Sandler in the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2, she initially thought she wouldn’t be asked back for the Happy Gilmore sequel due to her age.
