As winter approaches, the college basketball heats up in warmer weather. Eight teams will make the trip to Maui, Hawaii to play in the annual Maui Invitational. This year's group features some of the best teams college hoops has to off.

This will be the fifth time the Spartans have competed in the Hawaii showcase, and their first trip to Maui since 2019. MSU won it all in its first trip to the event in 1991, while Tom Izzo made his head coaching debut with the Spartans in 1995. The Buffaloes have only been in Maui once before, that coming in 2009 when they finished seventh.
