Colorado is expected to lose up to $2.5 billion dollars annually in federal Medicaid funding under the Republican Party's massive tax and spending cuts bill.

They made the case that the bill, which amounts to the largest healthcare cuts in history, puts health care, food assistance and jobs on the chopping block.

Six rural Colorado hospitals are at risk of service reductions, changes, or closure due to proposed health care funding cuts in the Republican-backed tax and domestic policy bill. A report by the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research identified 338 hospitals nationwide at high risk, including six in Colorado.
