NFL draft purge hit the New England Patriots on Monday with the team releasing six players to make space for the many newcomers on the roster. One of the names on the cut list was 2023 fourth-round draft pick Jake Andrews.

Smtih, who finished his 16-year career with 14,731 receiving yards, said the Patriots' third-rounder out of Washington State reminded him of himself.
