Thousands of “No Kings” protests are taking place on Saturday across the United States, with dozens of demonstrations planned in Southern California. The “No Kings”

More than 1,500 events are planned throughout the U.S. to send a loud message to President Donald Trump: “In America, we don’t do kings.”

Opponents of President Donald Trump's administration on Saturday are rallying in nearly 2,000 locations across the country, including thousands in Northern California. The "No Kings" protests were originally planned to counter Trump's plans for a military parade in Washington to mark the Army's 250th anniversary.

Business owners and local officials are making last-second preparations ahead of the "No Kings" protests scheduled for Saturday in downtown Los Angeles and across the nation. Alys Martinez reports.

Across the country, relatively few disruptions were reported during protests and marches where the mood ranged from joyful to defiant.
