North Judson falls to Providence in Class 1A state final
A historic season for the North Judson Bluejays ended just short of their ultimate goal, as they fell to Providence 35-20 in the Class 1A state final on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium. North Judson (14-1) was seeking its first state title in program history after reaching the championship for the first time since 1986 and coming up short in semi-state the previous three seasons.

Providence High School football won the IHSAA Class 1A state championship, defeating North Judson-San Pierre 35-20 on Saturday in Indianapolis. Quarterback Preston Kempf rushed for four touchdowns and 200 yards, and threw for another score to carry the Clarksville school to its first state title.
