Lando Norris survived an incident-packed race in the rain to win Formula 1’s British Grand Prix on Sunday and cut the gap to his teammate and title rival Oscar Piastri.

Moments later the decision came, and Piastri was hit with a ten-second penalty. He served that penalty on a subsequent pit stop and finished second, but behind Norris. That result saw his McLaren teammate inch closer to him in the F1 Drivers’ Championship standings, and left Piastri frustrated after the checkered flag.

Lando Norris gave his compatriots something to cheer about Sunday as he held off Oscar Piastri to win the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit.
