After a nearly three-hour standoff with SWAT, a man who barricaded himself inside an apartment in Pearland is now in custody, according to Pearland police.

After an hourslong standoff, Pearland police arrested a man who allegedly shot at officers and barricaded himself inside of his apartment, according to the agency. Around 8:45 a.m., officers were called to an apartment complex at 2701 Old Alvin Road in Pearland,

Police said it started around 8 a.m. Sunday morning after a concerned neighbor reported bullet hole damage on an apartment door. When Pearland police officers arrived at the scene, they tried to make contact with the suspect, but then shots were fired from inside the apartment, police said.
