The United States has no immediate plans to withdraw a mid-range missile system deployed in the Philippines, despite Chinese demands, and is testing the feasibility of its use in a regional conflict,

U.S. will continue to keep its Typhon missile launcher deployed to the Philippines indefinitely despite protests from China. The missile system was delivered earlier this year ahead of the U.S.-Philippine joint military exercise.

Washington is also testing the feasibility of the Typhon mid-range missile system’s use in a regional conflict.
