Catherine, Princess of Wales joined the royal family as they paid their respects to all those who have lost their lives in conflicts at the annual Remembrance Day service in London on Sunday.

The Prince of Wales has revealed that he is trying to take a more modern approach to royal duties with “a smaller R in the royal”. The Prince said the world needed “more empathetic leadership”, suggesting that he had made a deliberate decision to focus less on the pomp and pageantry and more on “helping people”.

The Princess of Wales has taken a significant step in her gradual return to public royal duties by attending the Festival of Remembrance. Joined by the Prince of Wales and King Charles, her presence at the Royal British Legion event comes after William spoke candidly of how 2024 has been “brutal” and “probably the hardest year in my life ”.
