Stefan Noesen scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period and the visiting New Jersey Devils held on for a 5-4 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Friday afternoon.

It was a fun atmosphere on a holiday weekday afternoon and an entertaining game, but the Red Wings gladly would have exchanged the result.

Dougie Hamilton, Timo Meier and Jack Hughes each scored with the man-advantage for New Jersey (16-8-2), which has won nine of their past 12 games (9-3-0). Jacob Markstrom made 25 saves.
