Olympic cycling gold medalist Remco Evenepoel sustained fractures to his rib, right shoulder blade and right hand, contusions on both lungs and a clavicle luxation in a training accident involving a Belgian postal vehicle on Tuesday.

Double Olympic champion Remco Evenepoel has sustained multiple fractures after suffering a crash with a postal van while training in his native Belgium. Further assessments also showed bruising to his lungs and a dislocation to his clavicle. He will undergo an operation on the latter with the hope of leaving hospital on Wednesday.
