(Reuters) -Walt Disney plans to transition away from its use of Slack as a companywide workplace collaboration system, after a hacking entity leaked online more than a terabyte of company data, according to a report in the Status media newsletter.

The software company Salesforce has announced the acquisition of Own Data. The data service provider is being sold for a billion-euro sum.

A hacking group said it gained access to Disney's Slack channels over the summer, which led to leaks. Now, Disney is transitioning away from Slack.
