President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet nominees received swatting threats, a prank that has become more common since the late 2000s.

Trump’s transition team said that “several” of the president-elect’s picks faced “threats to their lives.” Such “swatting” incidents have proven difficult to stop.

The House minority leader has called for Congress to provide “maximum protection” to House Democrats and their families.
