It is now time to vote for the boy and girl athlete of the week from the Tuscaloosa area from last week's athletic performances. The vote is now open and will remain open until Thursday at noon. Northside's Bennett Green won the boy's poll last week with 67% of votes while Northside's Emma Bennett won the girl's vote with 61% of votes.

In less than a week, those in Tuscaloosa will vote on whether to increase your property taxes. That money will go to the school system. The district hosted another meeting Wednesday morning on why they say they need the increase.

Tuscaloosa residents will vote on whether or not to raise property taxes in less than a week. The extra money would benefit Tuscaloosa City Schools.
