As the vote counting for the Maharashtra Elections 2024 came to an end. Zeeshan Siddique lost the Bandra East assembly election seat to Shiv Sena UBT's Varun Sardesai, according to ECI data.

Zeeshan Siddique lost the Bandra East seat to Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Varun Sardesai, who won with 57,708 votes.

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) candidate Varun Satish Sardesai is leading in Bandra east constituency with 40.

Zeeshan Siddique, NCP candidate in Bandra East, is trailing behind Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Varun Sardesai. Siddique joined NCP recently, shortly after his father Baba Siddique's death.

The high-profile seat has become a battleground between Zeeshan Siddique of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Varun Sardesai of Shiv Sena (UBT), and Trupti Sawant of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).

Zeeshan, son of Baba Siddique, who contested from Vandre East Assembly constituency, which covers Mumbai's Bandra East, is currently trailing against Varun Sardesai who is Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aadithya Thackeray's nephew.

While Zeeshan Siddique relied on his father’s legacy and a potential sympathy wave, Varun Sardesai looked to consolidate Shiv Sena (UBT) votes and tap into the Congress vote base from the MVA alliance. Trupti Sawant of the MNS may also influence the outcome by drawing Marathi votes.
