Frank Lampard is close to being announced as Coventry City's new manager after concluding negotiations with club owner Doug King following the sacking of Mark Robins

Former Everton and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is set to take over at Coventry. Lampard has been out of work since ending his second spell at Stamford Bridge in May 2023 but is the frontrunner to succeed Mark Robins at the Ricoh Arena,

Though there remain some hurdles to be cleared, Lampard is edging towards a comeback in management, more than a year after his short-term spell at Chelsea ended.

Frank Lampard is in advanced talks with Coventry City and is close to making his return to management following an absence of almost 18 months.
