The InsideCarolina team just revealed their top candidates to replace Mack Brown for the North Carolina Tar Heels

Mack Brown sounded firm in his intent to return for another season as North Carolina’s coach. A day later, the school announced it was time for a change instead.

Mack Brown rejuvenated the Texas Longhorns during his 16 years from 1998-2013, including leading the program to its last national championship.

With the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill making the decision to move on from Mack Brown, the question of what’s next comes naturally. Brown, 73, is UNC’s all-time leader in wins and games coached.
