Hollywood star Margaret Qualley has revealed that the prosthetics she wore in the critically-acclaimed horror movie “The Substance” caused so much damage to her skin that it took about a year to recover.

In an interview on the podcast Happy Sad Confused, actress Margaret Qualley shared that the prosthetics she wore for the movie "The Substance" caused her face to break out in "absurd" acne.

Margaret Qualley and Demi Moore were both transformed for their roles in 'The Substance.' According to Qualley, it took her "probably a year to recover physically from all of it."

Qualley went on the Happy Sad Confused podcast in January, and confessed that the prosthetics she wore in The Substance messed up her skin so bad that by the end of filming they had to find ways to avoid shooting her face.
