Like Overwatch, the character roles determine how a certain hero is supposed to be played, supporting other players in the team in pre-determined ways. Here is a basic rundown of each Marvel Rivals role: Vanguard - These characters can deal heavy damage and shield allies from harm, essentially working as "tanks" in other hero shooters.

With the character art looking complete and the ability loadout also looking ready, Mister Fantastic may now be the leading contender to arrive as Marvel Rivals first post-launch character, and the representation of the Fantastic Four opens the door to many more fan-favorites.
