The Los Angeles Chargers and Jim Harbaugh continue to look like a team that will target Michigan Wolverines players early and often in the 2025 NFL draft. One of the most popular ideas on that front is tight end Colston Loveland.

Jim Harbaugh is adding another familiar face to his staff with the Los Angeles Chargers. The team is expected to hire former Michigan offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell as an offensive assistant, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz both reported Monday.

For a while now, the theme of Chargers football has been disappointment and underachievement. So, when Jim Harbaugh was hired to be the head coach last offseason, he made it his mission to establish his National Championship winning culture in Los Angeles.

Campbell served on now-Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh's coaching staff during his time at Michigan, as an offensive assistant in 2022 and as quarterbacks coach in '23. According to Pelissero's report, he played a key role in the development of QB J.J. McCarthy on their way to the 2024 CFP National Championship.
