A lock screen bypass bug has been discovered in Android 13 and 14 that can be exploited by an attacker with physical access to your smartphone.

But luckily, Google is giving users the option to turn it off via the Settings icon on the screen. Google says that the new feature is available on Google Photos running on Android 14 or up.

The obvious question here, though, is if this only works on tablets. And, for now, the answer is yes. Android 15 QPR1 only enables widgets on the lock screen on tablets.
