I had seen Wicked I think half a dozen times. I brought her for her ninth birthday. So it was like kind of in me in that way, as a fan. Three, two, one, action.

Wicked is a big deal. And considering the movie’s budget, and the massive publicity push behind it, that’s pretty much what it should be. The movie, just Part 1 of the adaptation of the iconic Broadway musical is set to bring us Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and focus on the beginning of their unlikely friendship long before Dorothy ever arrived in Oz.
