The Celtics are looking to bounce back from a 127-121 loss to the Griz, while the Pistons hope to avenge their last loss to Boston with some momentum.

Jaden Springer (non-COVID illness) and Jordan Walsh (rib contusion) also are listed as questionable on the injury report for Boston. Walsh played for the Maine Celtics on Sunday after receiving DNP-CDs in Boston’s last two games.

While Ausar Thompson has returned from his long recovery from blood clots, the young veteran is now dealing with an adductor injury that has caused him to miss time recently. The Detroit Pistons’ November 25 matchup against the Toronto Raptors was Thompson’s season debut.

Ron Holland II, Simone Fontecchio, and Isaiah Stewart helped the Pistons battle back from a 19-point deficit that Detroit dug itself in six minutes into the night. After the Celtics built a 26-7 lead, the Pistons outscored Boston 17-13 to close the first quarter.

Tatum has played well in the 2024-25 season so far. In fact, Tatum is establishing himself as a legitimate MVP candidate. The 26-year-old is currently averaging 28.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.3 steals per outing. He is also shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 37.4 percent from beyond the arc.
