After pausing the plan, Gov. Hochul has revived the plan with a proposed $9-a-day toll for motorists traveling south of 60th Street in Manhattan.

The MTA board on Monday fast-tracked Gov. Kathy Hochul's plan to to finance mass transit with congestion pricing, rubber-stamping her plan to charge drivers a fee to enter Manhattan's Central Business District.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority on Monday approved the newly reduced $9 toll rate for its first-in-the-nation congestion pricing plan, despite the objections of many Long Islanders and their representatives, including the MTA Board member who cast the lone vote against the plan.
