Harun Abdul-Malik Yener researched how to build a bomb, allegedly intending to detonate it at the New York Stock Exchange.

A South Florida man was arrested Wednesday and charged with a plot to “reboot” the U.S. government by planting a bomb at the New York Stock Exchange this week and detonating it with a remote-controlled device,

The FBI investigated the case with assistance from the Coral Springs Police Department and the Joint Terrorism Task Force. Assistant U. S. Attorneys Michael Thakur and Abbie D. Waxman of the Southern District of Florida and Trial Attorney Elisa Poteat of the National Security Division’s Counterterrorism Section are prosecuting the case”.

Harun Abdul-Malik Yener, 30, of Coral Springs, in Broward County, was charged with attempting to use an explosive device to damage or destroy a building.

The suspect, an “unhoused” 30-year-old Floridian, told undercover FBI agents that he wanted to “reboot” the U.S. government and “wake people up.”
