One person died and a dozen others were sent to a hospital in Clearwater, Florida, after a recreational boat struck a ferry carrying dozens of people and then fled the scene, law enforcement officials said.

A boat struck a Clearwater Ferry carrying over 40 people near the Memorial Causeway bridge in Florida on Sunday, April 27, the Clearwater Police announced in a Facebook post. One person died from their injuries and multiple others have been seriously injured.
