A man was shot on a METRO bus in southwest Houston on Friday. Police said the gunman ran away from the scene, and the victim later died.

A hospital patient has been rushed to receive medical treatment after being shot near a medical care center. HPD said the shooting happened at 1999 W Belfort Ave. on the southside of town. The victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital.
