Taking home the trophy at Wimbledon is the dream of every tennis player, and with that trophy comes big money. Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek claimed the grand prizes with their respective singles championship wins, but overall the 2025 tournament saw an 8% increase in total prize money from last year's tournament.

The total prize pot at Wimbledon in 1968, the first year of the Open Era, was £26,150, around $63,000. The men’s champion, Rod Laver, picked up $4,800 (£2,000) and the women’s winner, Billie Jean King, won $1,800 (£750).

The Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner Wimbledon men's singles final went down to the wire, with the Italian emerging as the winner. The 24-year-old beat his opponent 4-6, 6-4, 6-5, becoming the first Italian to win the title. Winner (Jannik Sinner): Sinner earned £3,000,000 (approximately $4.05 million USD), an 11% increase from 2024’s £2.7 million.
