Jiri Prochazka attempts to bounce back from two KO losses in a span of 7 months with a win over Jamahal Hill at UFC 311 - a chance to reinsert either man back (or at least closer) to the title picture against Alex Pereira or perhaps Magomed Ankalaev, depending on who wins that potential matchup.

Hill (12-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) hasn’t competed since getting knocked out by UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira at UFC 300 in April. He returns against Jiri Prochazka (30-5-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC) at UFC 311, which takes place Jan. 18 at Inuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.

Jiri Prochazka is set for his first fight of 2025, and he’s making it clear he sees himself as the contender to beat at light heavyweight. A former titleholder, Prochazka dropped the belt to Alex Pereira at UFC 295 and then later lost a rematch to Pereira at UFC 303.

Jamahal Hill and Jiří Procházka were supposed to fight for the UFC light heavyweight championship back in 2023. But life intervened. Procházka suffered an injury during training and had to vacate the belt.
