SHREVEPORT, La. - With the Marshall Thundering Herd dropping out of the Independence Bowl, it was up to the bowl committee to find a replacement.

After nearly a third of the Marshall football roster entered the transfer portal following the announcement of head coach Charles Huff leaving for Southern Miss, the Thundering Herd program has backed out of their agreement to come to Shreveport for the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl.

Marshall has withdrawn from the Independence Bowl after a coaching change resulted in much of its roster jumping into the transfer portal.
