BSE Sensex and Nifty50, the Indian equity benchmark indices, rallied strongly in trade on Monday. While the BSE Sensex surged over 1,300 points, Nifty50 crossed 24,350 intraday.

In early trade today, the stock market continued its upward momentum. At the opening bell, the BSE Sensex is trading at approx 1000 points higher than the previous closing.

Reliance Industries, the second heaviest-weighed stock in the Nifty 50, gained 2.5%. Most Adani group stocks, too, rose at the open

The day ended in favour of the bulls, with 47 out of 50 constituent stocks of the Nifty50 ending in the green, led by ONGC, BEL, BPCL, and Shriram Finance

The stock market saw a dramatic surge on November 22, 2024, with Sensex closing 1961 points higher at 79,117 and Nifty rising 557 points to hit 23,907. Strong gains in the finance, FMCG, and IT sectors fueled the rally.

The weekly performance turned green eventually for these two benchmarks, which was earlier dragged by the escalation of war between Russia and Ukraine coupled with investors demand for dollar and treasury yields.

Benchmark Indian equity indices, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50, settled higher by over 2 per cent each on Friday.
