The Dow feels pressure, weighed down by a steep fall for IBM, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq climb to another round of records and meme-stock mania resumes.

U.S. stocks opened higher on Friday, with the S&P 500 pushing toward a fifth straight record close. The Nasdaq Composite was little changed in early going, but if it manages to finish in the green, it would mark a third straight record finish for the tech-heavy index.

Edwards Lifesciences rose 5.5% after likewise topping Wall Street’s expectations for profit in the latest quarter. It said it saw strength across all its product groups, and it expects profit for the full year to come in at the high end of the forecasted range it had given earlier.
