Australian soap Neighbours has been cancelled - again. Two years after Amazon’s now-defunct streaming service Freevee first axed the daily drama, it is being “rested” again from December this year. News of the cancellation first emerged yesterday,

The announcement came on Thursday (February 20), just two years since Amazon saved the series after it was dropped by the Aussie channel Network 10. Neighbours was originally canceled in 2022 after 37 seasons, only for Amazon to revive it months later on its streaming service Freevee.

The beloved Australian soap opera Neighbours is set to say goodbye once more. An announcement on the show's social media confirms that its final episode will air in December 2025.

Neighbours has allegedly been axed after two years on Amazon. The long-running Aussie soap was saved by Amazon Freevee in 2022 just months after its finale aired on Channel 5. A source told The Sun: ‘Amazon gave Fremantle two years to see if it worked but sadly they just didn’t get the viewers.
