CALGARY – Dustin Wolf made 31 saves to help the Calgary Flames hold off the Los Angeles Kings for a 2-1 win at Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday. Matt Coronato had a goal and an assist, and Jonathan Huberdeau also scored for the Flames (20-14-7), who have won two in a row and five of eight.
The Calgary Flames are back at the Saddledome for another Saturday Hockey Night in Canada contest against the Los Angeles Kings.
The Los Angeles Kings take on the Calgary Flames in their second of three meetings, this season. Both clubs were scheduled to face one another on Wednesday (January 8th, 2025)in Los Angeles, before the game was postponed due to the fires.

The Calgary Flames have been overachieving in the standings, but as they hit the halfway mark of the 2024-25 season, doubts persist over how long they can keep the momentum going.
Jonathan Huberdeau scored the game-winner early in the third period and Dustin Wolf made 31 saves to lead the Calgary Flames to a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.
Rittich allowed two goals on 18 shots in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Calgary. Rittich took his third loss in his last four starts, a span in which he's allowed 11 goals on 85 shots. The 32-year-old netminder couldn't get the better of his former team despite another strong defensive effort by the Kings.
Rittich will face the team that gave him his NHL debut back in 2016-17. The 32-year-old went 2-2-0 with 11 goals allowed on 95 shots over four games in December. Rittich will start because Darcy Kuemper played in Friday's 2-1 overtime win over the Jets.
