PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Transportation announced Monday that law enforcement will be increasing traffic enforcement along a 23-mile stretch of Interstate 17. Drivers traveling between Anthem Way and Sunset Point may soon start to notice more state troopers who will be looking to pull over reckless drivers along the freeway.
Expanded patrols have begun on a busy portion of Interstate 17 north of Phoenix as a way of slowing drivers and increasing safety.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the eastbound lanes of I-10 are closed due to a crash near the “Stack” in Phoenix. The Stack refers to the four-level interchange that connects I-10 and I-17, west of downtown Phoenix.
